LA Literature and Toy Show Reflections

A gigantic Thank-You to all who stopped by the Vasek Polak Collection booth this past Saturday at the Porsche Lit Show in Los Angeles. We had a blast! We are so grateful to have heard numerous stories about our family legacy and the impact Vasek Polak has made on Porsche history and the Porsche community.

You all delighted in our photo prints and license plate frames. We produced only twenty pieces for our first edition anodized aluminum, laser etched frames. The lucky people who bought theim got Vasek’s autograph on the back of their frame! Our first edition, signed vintage photograph prints were a big hit as well. Stay tuned as there may be a few items that pop up available on our website. We’ll let you know!

Above all, everyone loved to see Vasek, shake hands and share stories and hugs. It was a joy to celebrate with our friends and fans, make new connections and spend time with our Porsche family. We especially enjoyed our heartwarming visit from Rex McAfee. His father Jack McAfee and Vasek Sr. were dear friends and, as Rex and Vasek declared in unison, “they have a lot of history together”. We always love opportunities to reminisce and make new memories- cheers!

We greatly appreciate the people who came forward to let us know that they have Vasek Polak photos and/or artifacts in their possession. A favorite moment was hearing from a man that found our dealership printing dyes at an estate sale years ago and wanted to give them back to us. He then brought them to the swap meet in Anaheim Sunday and returned them to Vasek! This is what it’s about for us; recollecting, remembering, piecing together and memorializing our history so we can pass it down for future generations to learn from and build upon. We are deeply thankful.
