Meet us in Los Angeles!
Join us in celebrating this moment! The official launch of Vasek Polak Collection will take place Saturday, February 29th at the 37th annual LA Lit & Toy Show at the LAX Hilton from 7AM - 2PM. Come catch a glimpse of Vasek, learn about our services and peruse our family sanctioned, limited edition exclusive goods.
You can find Vasek and the Vasek Polak team at our booth this Saturday. At the show, you’ll be able to ask personalized questions to Vasek (and team) about services, history, memorabilia, speaking engagements, and future events. As a part of the Vasek Polak Collection you’ll find limited edition license plate frames and vintage photo prints for purchase. This includes a limited-edition print of the first Vasek Polak dealership in Manhattan Beach. A note from Vasek about the Manhattan Beach dealership photo, “This was my father’s original dealership at 356 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Manhattan Beach, CA at Longfellow Ave. He first opened this location in 1956 as a repair shop upon moving to California from New York on the encouragement of Jack McAfee. In 1959 this location became the first exclusively Porsche dealership in the United States.
You will also be able to enter to win a limited edition print of the #88 Porsche 911. “Racing number 88 was Vasek Polak Sr.’s favorite racing number. In this photo, Jerry Titus is driving the victory lap with Vasek Polak Jr. holding the checkered flag out the window. They’re entering turn 7A in Riverside, CA after winning the 1966 US Road Racing Championship (USRRC) in the D Production category. This may have been the very first major championship victory for Porsche 911 worldwide.” Vasek Polak Sr. wanted to race a white car, so earlier in 1966 he traded a 911 from his showroom for this one from Jack McAfee’s showroom. Then, an 18-year-old Vasek Polak Jr. completely disassembled, modified and built this car under the guidance of his father in preparation for the racing season.
“My father Vasek Polak came to California in a Volkswagen bus with a box of tools in the 1950s. After years of servicing and maintaining cars for others he went on to own and run a highly successful racing team that helped Porsche gain recognition in the United States. In the process he built a personal collection of well-known race cars. His dealership, team, and collection hold a place of historical significance in Porsche history. We are here now to celebrate his incredible accomplishments.”

Vasek Polak Sr.’s granddaughter and co-founder of Vasek Polak Collection, Maurie O’Dea, is archiving family history and helping her father reach his audience.
“My grandfather was a central figure during the air-cooled ‘golden era’ of Porsche racing in America. From the mid 1960’s onward, my dad Vasek Polak was there too. He remembers everything! I love hearing his stories about the people, places, and cars that made, and are making history. He’s also been instrumental in many fascinating car projects. Now that my dad can be easily found and accessed through our website he can be of greater service to the community. I’m his agent and his biggest fan.“
